Catfish King - Lufkin

Always has good food and helpful staff. The place is clean and with safe measures. Price is very nice with expensive to affordable daily specialties.

We spotted the Catfish King sign from the highway and made our way back through the side streets to visit, and it was definitely worth it. Everything was fantastic, just like we remembered from the Corsicana location that closed years ago. The green tomato and onion relish was delicious, with a hint of jalapeño juice. The sweet tea was also excellent, and it's included in their weekday lunch specials for just $6.99. The photos below showcase the shrimp and catfish lunch specials.

The fish was excellent, but the overall setup was a bit off.

Great little fish spot! The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. The only downside was that the salad bar was closed.
