Bidra med feedbackAllow me to paint a picture: it is a sunny day. You decide to go to Sushi with some friends or maybe your partner or spouse, but you don't know where to go. You are looking for Sushi places on the internet and find some potential hits. One of them is a small place called Blue Water Sushi. You see the high average reviews and decide that it is worth a shot. They come to the smiling, happy faces of employees and owners in the restaurant. You might be a little uncertain if you sit or wait to sit, but you are promptly encouraged to choose your seat. The service is friendly and fast, with at least one of the servers (Owner Helen) able to remember large orders perfectly without needing notes. The food from the kitchen is warm and excellent. The proteins are juicy and tasteful. Everything's really nice to date. Then your Sushi Bar Entree arrives. The sushi here is the best in Western Massachusetts in the opinion of this reviewer. It is delicious, inventive, balanced and is absolutely a witness to the skill of the owner, Leo. Every court a work of art. If you like to try spicy food, “Dynamite Roll”, and observe how the cook blows the spicy sauce and salmon on the role to a beautiful seaman. If you like eel, give the “Black Rose Roll” a shot, or ask for the off-Menu look, Unagi King, my personal favorite dish. I tried every role in the house and even asked Leo once a slow day to make something completely new and surprise me, which led to the special of the month a few months ago. The amazing Mount Tom Roll. It was appropriately named as it is really an amazing treat. The rice quality is perfect. It is never too sticky, never too dense and always has a nice bite, thanks to Chef and Co-Owner Leo, the great care while he personally prepares it. The reels are fantastically consistent. The chef holds a very strict bar of quality and it almost never changes. Every time I order the beautiful Ocean Breeze Roll, it comes out. Just as it should be. I never have to fear that what I won is not as good as the last time. Chef Leo ensures that his other chefs work on this same goal. No matter what kind of weather, no matter what kind of mood you're in, the friendly faces here always aim to please, and really care that you have a great eating experience. You want your business, and after dinner here you want to give it to them. It's affordable food that can't be beaten. You will definitely leave satisfied and happy, too often with a new favorite sushi place. I've eaten here since they were opened, and never written a review. My partner, Andy, and I will continue to give them our service for the coming years. We never felt so welcome, and the food is peerless in western Massachusetts. Thank you for the years of good memories, and here are many more to come! <3 -Lexi
From the quiet atmosphere, the impeccable friendly service and the phenomenal sushi, I must say that you do not find a better sushi place in western Massachusetts. Small but picturesque, they offer the variety of fish, and will not hesitate to place a custom order. A really great place from service to food.
I live in Holyoke and every Monday I have, and a few dollars to spend, I go here. The sushi is amazing, they have such a great service. I recommend this place 1000%. The ride is worth it.
This place is amazing! Great Food, Great Service, Clean and when I went to my birthday, they brought me a special dessert with even asking. These people are so nice and I highly recommend this place.
Went here last night for the first time. I have a new favorite sushi place and I don't have to travel all the way to Sturbridge or Northampton anymore since this was even better in my opinion. This place was very clean and the service was fabulous. The food was absolutely amazing to both see and eat. My favorite was the Phoenix Roll but it was all delicious and fresh. When the owner found out it was our first time there, she thanked us for trying it and was so friendly getting to know us a little. I will definitely come back and bring my friends. Thank you for a great anniversary dinner.
