Shotzys Grill - Lubbock

They will overcharge you. I went there tonight and was charged for 8 beers when I only had 5 on my tab. When I tried to discuss this with the bartender and my waiter, they just wanted to argue. I will NEVER return to this bar. Make sure to pay after each round instead of starting a tab, as they will try to charge you for drinks you never ordered or received.

One of the bartenders was rude and threw a coaster at me while I was ordering a drink. They had a DJ for karaoke, and I requested a song, but the DJ told me someone had already requested it. Two hours later, the song still hadn’t been played. I won’t be returning. It's a shame because it used to be a great bar before the new ownership took over.

We decided to visit this restaurant on a Friday afternoon after hearing several positive reviews. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated, and drinks and menus were provided immediately. However, we waited for half an hour without having our order taken. While I understand that the bartenders also serve at the tables, the restaurant wasn't busy, and several guests who arrived after us were served their drinks and food right away. After waiting for so long, we chose to leave. As we walked out, we were politely thanked, which made it clear that we weren't overlooked during our wait. Unfortunately, I must say that I'm very disappointed with our experience here.

Look. When you see the name Shotzy 's Bar and Grill incredible food and service may not be the first thing that comes to mind. It should be. In this Local Guide 's opinion, it is THE BEST burger in this county. Hell, maybe this country? I don 't know, Ihaven 't tried them all yet. It isn 't just the burgers...the daily specials are fantastic too. Hamburger steak? You bet...andit 's delicious. Meat loaf is special too. And the chicken strips. The bartender, Crystal, is an absolute gem...just don 't giveher a hard time or she 'll give it right back. Highly freaking recommend.

Our waitress and bartender was very nice and attentive, checking in with us regularly; she was the only staff member working the front at the time. The beer selection includes small and large sizes, with the large being a generous 32 oz glass from the tap. They also host karaoke, but not on the night we were there. All in all, I would rate our experience an 8.5 out of 10, and I definitely plan on returning.
