George's Cafe 4th St. - Lubbock

Food was very good! The service was excellent. Only complaint I have is on the coffee. It was not very strong.

I walked in and there was maybe two tables with two people each that were already sat and had their order. Two girls and a man were up at the counter and they told us to sit wherever we like when they saw us walk in. So we did and me and my BF were talking 5 minutes go by and no one had to come to the table 10 minutes goes by still no waitress had come to the table. Right before the 15 minute mark I said let's go. I know the food here is delicious I would rather support a local business than a chain and I wanted a good breakfast and to at least be attended to in general. I've waited tables I know it gets busy I know it can be hard at times. The restaurant wasn't busy at all and there is no excuse as to why that happened. Very disappointed and not sure if I'll go back.

Took the family here for breakfast around 8:30 on 1/6. When we walked in, they told us to sit wherever we like. Our server was kind and attentive. My coffee was good and smooth, not bitter at all. I ordered the meat lovers omelette. It was okay. The hash browns were cooked appropriately, and they were good with the salsa that came with the meal. The toast came buttered, and I added some of the jelly at the table. Overall, we enjoyed an okay meal and had a good time.

Ordered biscuits and meaty gravy. I have no idea what the meat was. Looked very unappealing. Even waitress didn't have a clue what meat it was. Won't ever be back. Waitress give 100% shame she has to work on a place like this!!!

Nancy was my Waitress! She is great, kind, and very attentive. Food was great too!
