Roc - Louisville

Accidentally stumbled over ROC a few years back to our first date and it is such a special place for us ever since! Staff and food always make a lasting impression. The last time we were there, I ordered pasta with vodka sauce and my husband ordered the special (Venison Wellington). He still claims to be the best meal he ever had! We also ordered salads and dessert (no pictures) and left the feeling very satisfied. We cannot always afford to go whenever we want, but every experience is one to remember!

Amazing experience. Who's a date night with my friend and I'm begging him to get me back. We've never been to ROC. The whole experience was a 12/10 for both of us. Our server was elegant, respectful, knowledgeable and attentive. He was one of the (if not) best servers I ever had the pleasure to eat. The food was the best Italian food I ever had no question. The only time we were cheated at all was when we realized that we were too full of dessert. Lol. But seriously, if you like Italian cuisine and great service, you cannot find a better place in Louisville.

I love ROC! We never had a bad experience here. Tonight we brought friends from Nashville. We started the evening with some delicious cocktails, both Paper Plane and Old Fashioned. For beginners we had the Buratta and the Beef Carpaccio. They had a special feature that added freshly shaved black truffles to the Carpaccio. The truffles we presented in a wonderful glass and shaded table side. Great presentation I forgot, a picture of! For the net we had the gnocchi, pappardelle shrimp with a pistachio sauce and a special pappardelle with a mushroom sauce with buratta. Unbelievable house made pastas. The meals were perfectly portioned, everything was hot and fresh and the service was impeccable.

I was with ROC several times. I brought my wife to a romantic dinner and recently I brought a group of friends for the first time to experience this wonderful place. The food and service are both excellent. There are several Italian restaurants in Louisville, but none can hold a candle in this place. The bar is very well equipped and the bartenders are well visited to make the best drinks you can find. The owner is usually on hand to welcome you, and it is obvious from the moment you go to the door that the staff really wants you the best culinary experience that they can possibly. I recommend ROC restaurant and I am sure you will not be disappointed when you try it.

The best service I’ve ever had in Louisville. The server knew exactly what wine to pair with our food. Food was absolutely amazing. We had the octopus as an appetizer and the squid ink pasta and John Dory special. Both were incredible. We finished with the tiramisu and limoncello, the tiramisu was lighter than most which made it even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
