Campagne One Main - Los Altos

Given that this is rated 4.7 stars at the time of writing, I am extremely disappointed in my dinner here tonight. The service was poor we were amongst the only people dining, but had to flag the waiter several times to get his attention, and our water glasses were not refilled once. I ordered a $40 beef short rib, which tasted fine, but was served at room temperature. The wine menu was poor (for a French restaurant they only had a handful of reds from France, and none were good quality). My wine glass was very dirty (see picture). Overall, I?m very surprised to see this rated so highly, especially for Los Altos. If the menu prices were cut in half I?d say this would be an acceptable place to dine, but given the expensive menu and the poor service, I can?t recommend this.

Very cute place. Main dishes are good. Desert did defrost right so did not taste good. Very hard to enjoy it.

When our escargot appetizer arrived, I noticed that some of the shells were empty. On the bright side, they later decided not to charge us for the escargot on the final bill. However, the filet mignon we ordered was disappointing. It didn’t resemble any filet mignon I've had before; I expected it to be round, but what we received was not that shape. I've included a picture for reference. Overall, I had hoped for a better dining experience.

When our appetizer, the escargots, arrived, I noticed that some of the shells were empty. On a positive note, they didn’t charge us for the escargot on the final bill. For our main course, we ordered filet mignon, but it didn’t look like the filet mignon I’ve had at other restaurants. I expected it to be round, but the piece we received was different. I've included a picture for reference. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the dining experience.
