Umisango - LORNE

Eating is great! good enough for a Japanese rest. the blacksgyoza and the huhn teriyaki is also good. also cheap for the portion and has many options. Eat came fast and best when they eat outside for a good view. overall pleasant experience.

Stopped in during a drive on Great Ocean Road. Great sushi, good service, clean if basic dining room. Worth a stop if you like sushi.

We went to Lorne for the first time, it is an hour drive and we tried this Japanese resto. The food is quiet good but the front staff is rude. We just get some drinks from the fridge and we will pay for it but the staff shouted on us said hey hey without even say excuse me or instead of coming to our table and said to us “hey hey, you should inform me what you are getting at the fridge and pay it first.” All the customer heard what she said to us and all are looking at us as if we are stealing something. It is very embarrassing. This is our first and last visit on this restaurant. The front staff should know how to respect and be polite to the customers.

Beef teriyaki bento was really good and tasty. Went there on a Saturday night, few people in town. Feel so bad for the staff as there were only 2 of them serving at least 5 tables and couple of takeaways. Hope people willing to work in Lorne can find reasonable accommodation in town.

My family had edamame,chicken gyoza, kingkong plate chashu ramen and curry chicken don all the dishes were very nice. Especially chashu ramen taste exactly Japan. Service was good.
