Bidra med feedbackI can't believe I've lived in Sunnyside almost 20 years and last week was my first visit to this delightful little taqueria! Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, the ladies inside were cooking up some delicious dishes for sure! They were closed for dine in the day we were there so we ordered and took our food back to my place. My only complaint is that they use styrofoam for their togos. I had the smothered veggie burrito (zucchini and mushroom filled), my dad had a chicken and bean smothered burrito, my mom had the combination plate, my son, a smothered steak burrito, and we shared chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were excellent, my veggie burrito was delish, the steak in my son's burrito was tender and not at all rough like you sometimes get. I didn't try my dad's, but he ate the whole thing. My moms combo plate was also tasty, especially the rellano. And the two women working there were really nice, especially the one doing most of the cooking. I'm looking forward to my next visit- I'm thinking I need to make it a part of my weekly routine.
Tremendous food at a tremendous value and the owner/operators were some of the most hospitable and gracious folks you could imagine. The chips and salsa that come with your meal include a bowl of green chili, like, legit hot pork filled green chili!I am normally a sucker for a smothered burrito, and while this one was great, the Al Pastor tacos stole the show. Look at the avocado on those bad boys!!! And those 5 tacos were like $11!!! This is the type of neighborhood joint that everyone around the highlands needs to frequent
Consistently impressed with the street tacos. So good, thank you!
This place came highly recommended from friends who have lived here a while. Can't beat the quality for the price. 5 tacos for $12! They let you pick two different proteins split 3/2 between the tacos and it comes with avocado or guac! I went with guac and it was delicious. For my tacos, I went with vegetable and shrimp as the protein. The veggie tacos were great with grilled veggies and refried beans. The shrimp tacos had a nice slaw on them as well. We ordered a side of salsa, which was a very generous serving and they gave us chips with it! The salsa was pretty spicy for me but the flavor was delicious. Will definitely be ordering again.
This is my go to Mexican place in Denver since there aren't really many good options for Mexican food. The food is super affordable and always so fresh. Definitely try their guacamole and salsa. The staff is also extremely friendly.
