Roscoe's House Of Chicken N Waffles

After eating at Roscoe's for years, we finally decided to brave the crowds for their famous fried chicken. The wait was over 30 minutes, but well worth it. Many people come to this restaurant specifically for their delicious fried chicken, and our visit was no exception. The food was definitely worth the wait! The chicken was perfectly cooked and not greasy. The waffles were simple and tasty, although not as crispy as I would have liked. The syrup tied everything together perfectly. We also tried the gizzards and livers, and they were surprisingly good. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience.

Roscoe is a must-visit spot in the Long Beach community. Their family-style meals include delicious cornbread, decadent mac and cheese, and sweet yams that are truly unforgettable. Don't miss out on their fried chicken with waffles - the sides will blow you away. Wash it all down with a refreshing glass of lemonade and take a leisurely walk back to the Hyatt to work off those delicious calories.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, fresh, and hot! I tried the Obamas special, a classic dish. The location is great, especially for first-time visitors to Roscoe. The bathroom was clean and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back the next time I am in the city.

My husband and I ate here on a recent quick weekend getaway to Long Beach and LOVED IT!! While it may not be the fanciest joint in town, the food is delicious and had us wanting to come back every day! While we're west coasters now, we lived in the South (North Carolina) for several years and aren't strangers to chicken and waffles. I've also eaten at Willie Mae's in New Orleans which has arguably the best fried chicken in the world and this chicken (and these waffles) gave any I've ever had a run for their money! The service was fast and friendly and the price was reasonable. I ordered the Carol C. Special with a side salad and a biscuit (which was plenty for me) and my husband order the Scoe's with a side of grits which ended up being slightly more than he could eat. The salad, grits and biscuit were good, but definitely didn't hold a candle to the chicken waffles. I was really surprised that they were this good coming from a chain, but I speak truth! I can definitely recommend!
