The service was not what was expected. We booked a table for 5, they gave table for 4 and were refusing to give us extra chair to sit on the side of the table!
Sadly was left disappointed which was a real shame as we have been long looking forward to a Sunday roast from the self proclaimed best in town! Staff were VERY rude. Uninterested in anything other than talking to eachother at the pass. One rolled their eye balls when we tried to order. When the service experience level is like this is puts a lot of pressure on the food to deliver and sadly the roast did not live up to expectations. Items missing from what was offered on the menu and the meat on all plates was cold. Can fully appreciate that Sunday evening is a period of fatigue for everyone but it has been a long time since we have felt that unwelcome for a meal. Overall very disappointed for what was meant to be a big occasion.
Superb food, however there were a few issues with service for example they brought a different wine to what was ordered (ordered white wine and they brought rosè and they brought the wrong side dishes. Apart from these errors it’s a great spot!
Really looking forward to visiting the PR. Disappointed with the experience. Starters of oysters and red prawns excellent. Mains not good at all. Plates cold as was the food. My chicken Milanese overcooked my companion hake also served cold. The top consultant chef Ben Tish spent 15 minutes talking to the next table with its minor celebrity. Then left the room without acknowledging the only other two tables. Advice Ben ask your customers what they think rather than fawning over a very minor celebrity.
