Bidra med feedbackVery delicious food, and very nice people working there, good coffee, and good English and American breakfast, very cosy
This was very busy and we waited for 20 mins to be seated. The waitress took our order and brought our drinks fairly quickly. After waiting 35 mins we asked where our food was as other diners who came in after us had their food. The waitress told us there was some 'miscommunication with the kitchen '. We asked what specifically was the problem with communication, and she just repeated the same phrase. We then saw her putting our order into the computer we asked if she had forgotten to put our in and she refused to answer. A different waitress eventually brought our food with profuse apologies for the wait. We attended this eatery because they served good wholesome British food. The food was nothing special, and we had to eat it quickly to get to an appointment, the service left much to be desired.
Just solid good food, perfectly cooked. It’s my go-to place for breakfast and it never disappoints! I highly recommend checking it out.
We booked in advance and arrived on time. Only one other couple inside with a screaming child, and we were sat opposite them. Why? We asked to be re seated at a table in the window but were told no, just in case other customers came in and wanted it. Thanks for that. Again, nobody else in the cafe at that time. So, we went and sat outside. Eventually we were given a menu and ordered. Little tip. Don't sit outside as the food isn't very hot and went cold quickly. Another tip. Don't have ice in your orange juice. So much ice than when I took it out I had only one third of a glass of juice. The actual breakfast was average, in my opinion.
After a very late night and long lie, we jumped in a Hackney and they suggested The Breakfast Club but warned us there might be a queue outside, which there was. As there was only 2 of us we were taking straight in. Right from the off, the staff were friendly and on the ball. They clearly enjoy working there and it shows. There was a huge varied menu and the food was delicious but massive portions. The Breakfast Club uses Yorkshire Tea and it comes in a big mug, just what I needed and they were very quick to replace it. The orange juice is freshly squeezed. There is not much room and the tables were packed in, but you are going there for the food and atmosphere. Definitely a great start to our London trip and we will be back.
