Bidra med feedbackPopped in randomly without any expectations. Loved it right away. Location was good, service was great, food was excellent. Clean, friendly establishment with top Indian food. Can't complain. Definitely recommended!
The food here is so fresh and surprisingly non greasy/oily compared to other curry places we've been to. I loved the mango chicken and fresh bhindi (much tastier than the Bhindi bhajis I've had elsewhere). The service was pleasant and we will definitely be returning.
My husband and i found this restaurant last minute because we were in the neighborhood, the restaurant is quite small but clean, staff are friendly and helpful when it comes to recommendations. food portion is fair not great though, guess it has something to do with the 50% off).however, when we receive the bill, we found something seems a bit fishy to us:1. the bill is hand written. maybe this is normal, but so far we haven 't been to any place that gives hand written bill.2. they charged 5GBP for the Papadum ? the crispy cracker most of Indian restaurants serve before meal, for FREE), the waiter explained the 5 pound is for that and the and the small dish of 3 flavored sauce. 3. there is 2GBP for 2 take-away foil box+1 plastic bag, again, we have never been charged for takeaway box and bags in London.4. when I ask for the hand written bill after paying, the waiter tear off the bottom of the bill-which only has the total amount not the details, and said it 's UK law to keep for the restaurant to keep the detailed bill- later I asked waiter in another restaurant and a local friend, was told that was not the case. 5. out of the 3 dishes that recommended by the waiter, 2 of them are not on the menu, they explained that there are some problems with the current menu and the new ones are on the way--but the menu seems very new to us, and its the same with the menu on their website. the two items one is fish, the other is lamb) are both been charged 12.95, the fish price seems normal compare to other fish dish on the menu, but the lamb seems to be over-priced as its seems very similar as lamb masala and the other lamb dishes on the menu are between 6.95-7.95.We told them at the beginning of the meal that we are new to UK, they seem to be very welcoming so we trust their recommendations and so on, only at the end we thought there seems to be something fishy with the bill but as we were given 50% off, we decide to just let go and simply not return again.
This is our local Curry house and we're delighted that it is. Probably the best in Hammersmith in Chiswick. The food is always fresh and tasty and portions are a good size. All in all very good value for money. The staff are friendly and attentive and are always on hand to advise and suggest dishes…nothing seems too much trouble for them.I can't recommend the Tamarind highly enough.
If you are looking for an Indian restaurant in West London, check out Tamarind in Chiswick. Authentic and delicious, the food is beautifully presented and served by polite staff who ensure you have everything you need for a great eating out experience. The decor is contemporary and the standards of cleanliness are 5 star the place is spotless everywhere! We even got to have a look at the kitchen and meet the chefs and see the tandoori oven where our chicken was cooked.Whether it's a meal out for two or a gathering of friends or family,Tamarind is a great choice. We have got a Tastecard and as such visit lots of Indian restaurants and can definitely say Tamarind is one of the best in England. We'll be back ! Suzy Rossetto
