Bidra med feedbackI don 't even know where to begin, because the food was an absolute dream! Having lived in Japan myself, I expected the traditional dishes when reading the menu. But all dishes came with a little delicious twist almost like fusion kitchen! The Tempura Octopus was so tender, it almost melted in my mouth. Even the side pickles were really tasty! The fried tofu with its basil oil dip was a little piece of heaven! As the main dish, I ordered Gyudon and expected thin slices of beef with onions and soy sauce, but it was beef shin. Unexpected and super delicious! Also, the staff was really friendly, which isn 't a given nowadays. I can totally recommend this place go and try out as much as possible, because I feel that each dish is worth the visit :
Visited the Bank branch with a friend for dinner. We had the specials of the day and an udon dish each. Although everything was cooked to perfection, I have to be honest I wasn't that enthusiastic about the starters/ specials. Maybe it is a matter of taste, but apart from the pork belly which was delicious and the cumin lamb udon dish, another favourite, the rest of the dishes didnt appeal to me. The tempura prawns were nicely crunchy but missing some flavour, the tempura eel, sasimi and raw beef was ok,the mushrooms dish was my least favourite although full of flavour! . Other than that service was great, very friendly and the ambient great too.
I had a fantastic duck noodles in a delicious broth. We also had a tempura plate for share, that was great too. Definitely will go again!
A very simple and authentic menu, The pork starter was delicious and would highly recommend. Turns out I don’t really like udon noodles, not my cup of tea (a bit tough) But the soup it was in was nice. Lovely service and it was a really chill vibe though. I wouldn’t go again. I wouldn’t recommend the shrimp heads, they’re literally what it says (the part you rip off and wouldn’t normally eat). It was deep fried in a batter and was a bit taste less.
Stopped in here during a trip to London and I have to say it was absolutely worth it. The food was the best Japanese food I've ever had, the staff were lovely and handled my allergies very well and the price was decent. Will absolutely be returning next time I'm in the area! (Also re the picture, the rice dish looks far nicer than that when it comes out but I was so hungry I started eating it before I got a picture haha)
