Derrick's Bbq - Live Oak

I eat here once every couple of weeks. The food is generally pretty darn good. Occasionally the ribs are lacking, not in taste but the cut of meat (this happens at all BBQ restaurants . The sliced meats (beef, pork and turkey are all very good andusually moist. The smoked chicken is excellent as well. The loaded potato's are really good, but more of a lunch size portion inmy opinion. The salads are huge you will not be disappointed with one of their salads (Got to get it with their ranchdressing!! . Redneck nacho's are massive and delicious. Thursday they have a steak special that is super tasty and priced right.Service has always been top notch. 10/5/22 added new menu pics. Some prices did go up.

Horrible experience.. I ordered 5 meals and they put NO bbq sauce in the bag.. how do you forget to add bbq sauce when you?re a literal bbq joint ??

Would have been a 5 star review if the gal who seated us didn?t have attitude. When we asked to sit over by the window, the gal had major attitude and said she?ll just follow us. Our server? Always had a smile.

Ordered pulled pork special, probably the worst I have ordered in a BBQ restaurant. Tasted like liquid smoke seasoning and was big pieces of fat and gristle. Just really bad.

I have ordered from here a total of 6 times. 5 of which were awesome, we hit a snag on #6. The way they handled our issue led to this 5 STAR REVIEW! Thank you Derrick's staff!! It's always nice seeing your smiling faces!
