Bidra med feedbackWe stumbled upon Flying Saucer while looking for a casual place to eat and drink, and we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere, vibrant energy, and the mouthwatering aromas of roasted sandwiches and freshly baked pretzels wafting through the air. Located in the River Market area, this relaxed establishment caters to sports bar lovers with plenty of seating options, including sofas, bar stools, and traditional table seating throughout the restaurant. They also feature large projection screens for sports events, making it a great place to cheer for your favorite team. We appreciated the restaurant’s commitment to customer feedback, indicated on the drink coasters at each table. They genuinely want to hear what diners think, whether it’s praise or suggestions for improvement. As you walk in, you can't miss the interesting decor, showcasing messages from patrons on every wall and ceiling! Joining the Flying Saucer's UFO Club is a fun way to enhance your experience. For a $15 membership fee, you receive a T-shirt and a membership card to track your beer consumption. After enjoying your 200th beer, your name and the date will be proudly displayed on their "Ring of Honor" wall. The menu includes various nightly specials, such as "Pint Night" on Mondays with select beers for just $2.75 and Trivia Night on Tuesdays. Their menu goes beyond typical pub fare, featuring items like hummus with pita bread, freshly baked pretzels, bratwurst, and a range of sandwiches and salads, in addition to classics like wings and nachos. Portions are generous, ensuring great value for your money. We ordered the Dipster Sandwich ($8.49), a flavorful fried sandwich filled with Swiss cheese and horseradish mayo on a hoagie roll, accompanied by a tasty au jus. Another highlight was the Reuben-esque Sandwich ($8.29), stacked with pastrami, jalapeños, melted Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing on marble rye. We also tried the Grilled Chicken Salad ($8.49), which was vibrant and satisfying, loaded with mixed greens, Roma tomatoes, Kalamata olives, red onions, and Italian cheese. Overall, our experience was enjoyable. Even though the atmosphere became a bit loud at times, we appreciated the lively setting, knowledgeable staff, and the cheerful energy from fellow patrons. The establishment itself is large and spacious, with a long bar that runs the length of the restaurant. If you’re lucky, you can snag a seat at the front to enjoy the breeze and watch the world go by. The place stays busy from the moment you arrive until closing. Flying Saucer is located at 323 President Clinton Avenue in Little Rock, AR 72201. They are open Monday to Thursday from 11 AM to 1 AM, Friday from 11 AM to 2 AM, Saturday from 11 AM to 1 AM, and Sunday from 11 AM to midnight. Our server was friendly and well-informed about the menu and drink offerings. Prices are incredibly reasonable, and we found our food—salads, hot sandwiches, and cocktails—to be delightful. The drinks were perfectly chilled, and the atmosphere was vibrant and festive. Please note that no outside alcohol is allowed on the premises. Total bill for two hot sandwiches, two salads, and a few cocktails came to just over $60—a worthwhile splurge for a lively night out! For more information, you can contact Flying Saucer at (501) 372-8032 or visit their website. There’s ample metered street parking available just a block away, making it easy to stop by.
