Bidra med feedbackWe so enjoyed our stay in September at the Stone House. Perfect Covid safe get away! Breakfast and lite bites on the open porch. Beautiful huge room with view of the pond and ocean beyond. Can't wait to go back.
If you are planning a smaller wedding like we did (less than 50 people), Stonehouse simply cannot be beat for an intimate, and elegant wedding venue. Working with OceanCliff/Newport Experience, we rented out every single room for our guests for two days that covered our rehearsal and wedding day. This allowed us to visit with each and every one of our guests and really spend valuable time with family. We had our ceremony and reception hosted on the property, which for convenience cannot be compared and removes a tremendous amount of stress trying to travel from different sites on your wedding day. The customer service was amazing. Our inn keeper Corey along with his friendly staff was always available to answer questions, and take care of our every need. They serve a continental breakfast every morning. Have complimentary water bottles, tea, and coffee onsite. And also offer complimentary small tastes at night. The venue itself is absolutely stunning! It has a main building and a barn with plenty of space for each guest. Each room is unique, huge in size, with elegant and modern designs. The lawn in front of StoneHouse is gigantic. We were able to play a variety of lawn games with our guests which was a blast! There are also two semi-private beaches directly next to the property that we and our guests took full advantage of. It is a remote location that is very quiet, and safe, so you won 't be disturbed on your special day. Plenty of parking on site for your guests. One drawback is that there is a noise ordinance. They do not allow amplified music to be played outdoors due to local restrictions. This was not a problem for us though. During our ceremony and cocktail hour, we were able to have string musicians play non-amplified music. And during our reception, we moved into the barn and our DJ was able to play amplified music since it was indoors.
The pictures of the junior king suite on booking.com , yelp and Facebook don't accurately depict what I ended up with. I took some side by sides so that people can make a decision to book based off of the pictures I took next to what is advertised. The place was clean but not at all what I was expecting. We booked a Junior king suite because I wanted a vacation that closely resembled what was in the pictures. It was not. The floors were carpeted and sloped. Ceilings were low. The air conditioner was not working. Fridge was not cold. Water pressure in bath was low. The beach was not directly on the property. You had to walk a bit. *Google earth it before coming to see the distance. I did not complain to management. We made the best of it.
Amazing experience!! Staff was amazing, room was super clean and cozy! Perfect place for a relaxing off season getaway! Highly recommend!!
My experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible, and the customer service only made it worse. The room was filthy and infested with ants. We discovered a large stain on the underside of the comforter that looked like vomit or feces the next morning, after spending the night unaware and in contact with it. It was horrifying to realize what we had been sleeping on. To make matters worse, the manager, Theresa, insisted that it must have been vomit from us or our service dog, which was completely untrue since the dog was never left alone. Instead of offering any compensation for the unsatisfactory stay, Theresa claimed we should be charged for the damage! I strongly advise against staying here; I can't imagine they’ll stay in business much longer.
