Monte's Bistro - Lisboa

We ate here last night, the food and the service was so superb we decided to return tonight. Last night my partner had the Sea Bream and I had the Entrecôte. Both dishes were delicious! They haven’t had to add loads of extras in order to make the food seem appealing, the food is cooked so well that the dishes speak for themselves. The men that own the little bistro are so very friendly and welcoming. I’m sure we will return again after this evening.

Finding restaurants in Estroril was slightly harder than we imagined as unlike in the next door village of Cascais, they are spread around the neighbourhood rather than being in one area. Monte's was around 15 min walk from our Hotel, but well worth it. Family run, with delightful staff and an interesting selection of dishes. We visited twice, my wife opting for Sea Bass both times as it was so good. I managed a delicious slice of Pork Belly the first time and rather less adventurous burger on our return visit. Like most restaurants in the area it offered good value with well priced wines. The outside seating does face a road, but you can always sit inside. Would definitely be on the list for another visit if we return to Estoril. Oh and as mentioned by a previous reviewer, cast aside the diet and have the caramel cake and ice cream -its a basically a caramel fondant. too good to miss

We were there twice: once for Donnerstag, once for lunch (until now, we think we will return). Both times the food was excellent (today we had fresh sword fish with black pasta (coloured with squid ink, absolutely delicious). The chef (who I assume is also the owned, but I am not sure) is allways very friendly with the customers and so are the two girls which are serving. Only a few tables, but a nice, friendly atmosphere. So, to resume: excellent food, nice warm atmospher what more could one ask for? I warmly recommend it you won't regret.

Waitress owner brother sister) were extremely courteous helpful. We had steak veal but the juice of the meat just wet the fries too much . The dessert was superb toffee fondant) as good as I have tasted . The wine was good too .

We had an excellent meal here. Great service and atmosphere. Excellent friendly staff. Well worth a visit. And good value for money too. I'll definitely be back.
