This restaurant has rude staff. I ordered soup joumou and received one with only boiled plantains and no meat. When I brought this to their attention, they told me to come back for a replacement. However, when I returned, the lady was very disrespectful, stating that she wouldn’t refund my money because I had taken the soup with me. She only offered a discount on a new soup for $13, even though I originally paid $15. It just doesn’t make sense. I won’t be spending any more money there! The service was terrible and lacked basic courtesy!

I decided to try three types of patties: fish, chicken, and beef, which I only discovered because they were on display. They weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they also weren’t the worst. I won’t be recommending this restaurant to my family and friends, as I felt unwelcome as a Black American.

The place is unclean, and when I ordered food, leftover meat had been mixed into the legumes. The meat was not cooked that day.

We ordered the large conch for $30.00, but upon returning home, we discovered it contained shrimp. The restaurant never asked us if we wanted shrimp added, which raises concerns about their communication and management practices, particularly regarding allergies. This is not up to the standards expected in the food service industry. It was only after my husband started eating that we realized there was shrimp in the dish. We hope that in the future, the restaurant will clearly inform customers about any substitutions. We were expecting conch, but instead received something entirely different.

The food is always outstanding, but the wait time was excessively long, especially since I had placed my order 30 minutes ahead of time.
