Wise Villa Winery - Lincoln

In past experiences Wise Villa has always been a class act. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. We went in today as a group of six to have lunch and a wine tasting. The lunch was good but EVERYTHING was ala carte including paying for bread for the table. We then went into the tasting room and got three tastings which were already pre-poured and in plastic tasting glasses which looked old and dirty. We've never had a wine tasting experience as poor as this. No one spent any time explaining what we were drinking and no personal touch what so ever. We took our tastings to another room to sit down and we had also requested water which never came. Very sad experience and sorry to say we will not return.

The beauty of this winery starts at the gate. The rolling hills filled with vines and the design of the winery/tasting room/restaurant is redolent of all my preconceived notions of Tuscany. We visited because a friend had referred us and gave us a bottle of Syrah. Upon arrival for just a tasting, our good friends from Loma Rica pulled up next to us. They had a dinner reservation and we were able to join them for dinner. What a nice experience. Service was very good the menu was surprisingly upscale. Food was very good. But I'll say the ambiance of the place and its grounds truly enhanced the dining experience. We left there as members and look forward to our next pickup party dinner.

A gorgeous setting! Went to lunch on a Tuesday only to find out the chef is off Monday and Tuesday so there's a very limited menu. Prices seemed a little expensive. Chairs in the main restaurant were not that comfortable but again the setting was beautiful.

We went in for a tasting, what terrible service. They rang us up for the tasting before we even started, who does that? The point of tasting is to see if we want to buy? Didn’t have a dining reservation, oh wait we are not allowed in the empty dining room but they asked twice. Go stand at the front of the hostess and drink your plastic cups of wine in front.Nobody cared to tell us about the wine or give us any more information. Drink and leave was the vibe. Good we’ll leave and never come back! Take down the tasting room sign if all you care about is dining or selling your bad wine with too many awards.

My husband and I just joined the Wine Club and we couldn't be more thrilled. Every person is so friendly, helpful, and really beautiful !!! I think they only hire gorgeous girls and handsome men!!! Wine Club members enjoy a free flight of wine tasting and make you feel right at home! The food is delicious, the wine is amazing, and the view into the foothills and over the rolling green vineyards is spectacular. Allison gets a 5 star rating!
