Haakons Pub - Lillehammer

The “Haakons Pub” is in the high street and opens 1pm to 3am this is probably the best pub in Lillehammer good music friendly staff and customers the beer is well kept and cheaper than most in fact all the pubs we went to, there is no food served here which in my opinion gives an excellent pub feel the bar area is the centre of attraction and all staff interact with all customers. Excellent place lots of history on the walls highly recommend

A favourite with all 'kinds ' of People, regulars, tourists, intellectuals, students, musicians, footballers.. Ok garden in summer as well, like the inside best. Robust interior, rooms, corners for all wishes, also romances : I have only tried some small meals With the beer and wines, I think they have som grill meals as well

Haakons is the pub in Lillehammer that most closely resembles British pubs. Here are dark interiors, a nice (heated) backyard for smokers, seating booths and stools around the bar. The pub has regular customers of all kind, but everyone is friendly to strangers. During the Literature Festival in Lillehammer in May every year, Haakons is the place to be at night. The pub becomes packed with authors, publishers, literature critics etc.

On of the most local bars in Lillehammer, with good beer selection and opening hours. Close to the sentre of the city, but not the pick the younger crowd.

Overall: 4 Comments: Located towards the upper end of Storgata, Lillehammer's Main Street, and looking modest and plain from the front. Grabbing a beer, food is also available inside there is a great open air backyard, very convenient on a sunny day. Friendly host and good atmosphere. There was another obvious reason for visiting too.
