Aux Indes Express - Lille

Very poor service, the staff are very unfriendly and rude had to keep looking for them, and they just walk pass even if called out for anything, would never recommend. Service is actually missing in the restaurant and is irritating. If only they could fix the service and ambience, it could catapult itself to the top of Indian restaurants in Paris!!!

Loved this place. The portions were huge and the food was just delicious with very reasonable prices. As a starter we had the wrap which was huge and quite filling on its own, thus making it a challenge to go through the main dish! Highly recommended.

Visited this place on the 13th Feb with a work colleague as we had some time in our hands before we fly back the next day. The restaurant looked dazzling from the outside and we thought we try it out as it was near to our hotel. The waiting staff all looked presentable and had a smile as we walked in. This is France and my French was a little rustic as well as my colleagues too, so we were a little scared as we were thinking what we were going to order as we didn’t have a clue what the menu was saying. One of the waiting staff knew how to speak Basic English which was a bonus and helped us out what to eat, I ordered the Gilafi Mutton to start and the Rogan Josh Classique as the main with a Sagg Aloo side dish, the starter was well nice and presented very well and my belly was rumbling on how good it looked, the mutton was nice and tender and not too chewy, the taste wasn’t something I expected but it was rich in garam masala but it was good I enjoyed it and for the Rogan Josh classique, I think the French don’t know what a real Rogan is and found it somewhat too dry but the chops were amazing, nice blend of flavour went down very good with the sagg aloo side dish. Overall the service was great and the food tasted delicious. Will recommend TA’s to try this place out

I ordered a makani chicken, a china butter is served. I used to order at home but I couldn’t enjoy my favorite dish at home! the entrance is good, the naan too
