Naupaka Terrace - Lihue

When the waiter brought our order for 3 people, they mistakenly brought the wrong dish and asked who had ordered the chicken. However, no one had ordered chicken and we had actually requested the fresh catch of the day, Mahimahi. The waiter took the dish back to the kitchen and after a 10-15 minute wait, they brought 2 out of the 3 dishes, but kept us waiting over 20 minutes for the Mahimahi to be cooked. The restaurant was not very busy, with only about 6 tables being served, so it seemed like it was a mistake in the kitchen rather than being overwhelmed. The portion sizes of the food ranged from small to ample.

The restaurant is overpriced for the quality of food offered. The Ribeye Steak, cooked medium rare, was chewy and not as tender as expected. The staff, however, was good.

We did not end up eating at this restaurant. The person at the check-in desk initially claimed we did not have a reservation, until I showed her our confirmation. Despite our request to be seated away from the loud music at a table by the entry, she insisted that was the only option. She then contradicted herself by seating other guests further from the door. Frustrated by the inconsistency, we chose to dine at another establishment.

This is the worst experience I have ever had my entire life
