Cafe 19 - Liberty Lake

Cafeteria style inside of large office complex. Poor signage. 1 star for lots of seating and 1 star for easy grab and go. However, very little selection. Went just after noon and salad bar was very poorly stocked with diced meats and other items totally empty. No fruit. 1 cashier so a bit of a line-up. Improvements needed.

Cafe 19 doesn't deserve a STAR but I had to choose one unfortunately. Their food is horrendous and way overpriced for what they give. I've had a few experiences and try to give them the benefit of the doubt but not anymore. I usually get their breakfast burrito, it's one of the better things there but not since the last time. One of their new cooks was preparing one for me but my co-worker noticed that he only put 1 egg, 1 slice of bacon and a ton of potatoes. Their menu calls for 3 eggs, 2 slices of bacon so I asked him how many eggs he put it in, he said 2 and added another (because he got caught! to make it seem like he put 3...and the burrito is $6...for WHAT potatoes!! Another time, they had their taco bar but ran out of chicken and people were asking if they had more. They didn't, they said they only made enough for 45 people for the special. Fine, no problem right? But what do they do. They go into the fridge and pull some chicken out and tells the cook...I hope this is still good, use it up. Really! no thanks. I won't eat there again. Their catering sucks too. They just about baked a layer of salt on baked potatoes for one of our lunch trainings. It was a crusty, white layer of salt so it made the baked potato very salty. Another time, they burned the cheese on the mac n' cheese so it tasted burnt. Their biscuits and gravy, biscuit is hard and the gravy looks like some thick lumpy cold glue. Terribly awful, and don't call them out on any of it because they give you an attitude about it.

Awful. Zero stars. I dislike the food they serve. The food quality is inconsistent and not that savory. Taco Bell has more savory food than Cafe19. I try to avoid Cafe 19 at all costs. Other coworkers concur that the food they serve is sub par. Food to stay away from: mac and cheese, any pasta, all burritos, sandwiches are pathetic, and meats are usually dry and not tender. The salad bar is unfortunately the only this that is okay seems how the staff don't have to touch or cook it. It is really sad that Cafe19 is still in existence because they serve egregious food with an absurd mark up. I really hope that Cafe19 either packs up and leaves and someone that knows how to make edible food moves into their space, or Cafe19 gets their act together and start producing food that is worthy or their ridiculous price tags.

Many great dishes to try at this cafe. Absolutely LOVED the salad bar, so many items to choose from to build a delicious salad! Clean and pleasant atmosphere and the staff was super friendly! I'll definitely be back!
