Curly’s Comfort Foods - Levittown

I ordered a brisket on a long roll with sharp provolone with fries. It came with a gravy dip. I could only eat half. The sandwich was meaty, delicious, and what else could you ask for.

I was the winner of the Dream Drive raffle. We added food to the order that I had already won. When I picked up the staff was very friendly and nice. They gathered our order and helped put the TV I won out the side window. We had about 15 people and five kids at our football party. Everyone loved the food . Everything was delicious. Cheese steaks are the best I ever had. My husband is a retired chef and he raved about all the good and service. We will definitely be back. Thank you Curly's. Mary Piuma

UPDATE W/ ADDITIONAL PHOTOS12-02-2023Today I came back and met the owner himself, Curly. Very nice guy and you can tell he really has a passion for his business. He apologized for my previous experience explaining that he has some new employees who are still learning the job and that he even showed the employees my photos so that they could see the mistake.Curly then personally got behind the grill and made me a cheesesteak so I could have a proper experience this time.Now I can finally understand what all the hype is about. This cheesesteak was incredible and I couldn't believe that this was the same place I had eaten at before. This was the cheesesteak everyone was talking about.The meat was cooked to perfection, flavored perfectly, the cheese was tasty and just the right amount added, and I always add pepperoni to my steaks which was also amazing. The steak was perfectly assembled and the bread was very solid as well.This was my favorite cheesesteak I have ever had, in terms of the meat and cheese portion, the guts if you will of the sandwich. The bread is still very good, but not my favorite I ever had, I do like a really crunchy bread personally, so that would be my only slight complaint.I would rate this steak top tier, worthy of traveling a good distance to come check it out and I finally understand all the hpye I heard from many others. I will definitely return for another cheesesteak here in the future.UPDATE:Reached out to the owner as they asked me to below on their Facebook- was in contact with them and they assured me it was some newer employees who being trained that day. He offered me to come back in and give it another go and I may do that in the future.Original Review:Was recommended to come here by a friend as he had tried what I think is the best cheesesteak around and while he liked it, said this was by far better.Came in on a Saturday afternoon, split a cheesesteak with my GF and a good friend of mine also came and got his own steak. He is a big fan of eating and lover of cheesesteaks.The ordering process was slow, you aren’t moving quickly as you do at other cheesesteak places. But multiple people in line told us how good this place was.Once my cheesesteak came out, they had screwed my name up on it, which was fine and didnt really bother me.Upon opening the steak I noticed how thick it was, they truly do pack a ton of meat and cheese in. That’s about as good as I can say about this place.This was one of the worst cheesesteaks I ever had. I ate about 2/3rds of my half, my girlfriend ate about 2 bites of hers and we threw the rest away. My friend also said one of the worst cheesesteaks he ever had also though he begrudgingly finished his.The roll was not good, it was almost soggy with no pushback to it at all, it just sank in. The meat was chewy and tough, see my photo of the closeup of the meat that I spit out on my second bite because it was so chewy. At $20 for a cheesesteak, I expect quality, but truthfully, I wouldnt eat one of these for free.Furthermore, the bathrooms are located outside the building in the back and you need to be let in by a staff member in order to use them, and there is a door leading to the kitchen inside them that seems it can be opened by a staff member at anytime.I would certainly never return nor would my GF or my good friend.
