Lethbridge Lodge

Upon first arriving I got checked into one of their in un-renovated roomsThe carpets were tired and had spots all over.

We were lucky enough to get a renovated room and it was very nice.

We stopped for lunch yesterday and were disappointed with the service and food. My wife's salad was OK but my fish and chips was over cooked and dry and the whole meal was barely warm at best. We ordered Caesars and they tasted like watered down clamato juice.I wanted to use the washroom but was told that the water was shut off for upgrades.--WHY would you shut off the water during noon hour????-- We will probably not eat there again.

We stayed here for one night on our way through Lethbridge. Upon checking in, the front desk agent informed us that they are "phasing out their breakfast" and she would only be giving us a coupon for one free breakfast but we could buy an extra for $10. Ok, kind of annoying. The room was clean, but in need of an update. Pink counter tops and almond colour toilets. The stairwell and hallway were both very stale / smoky smelling. Our room opened onto the central pool area. There was a wedding going on when we stayed and because of this there was loud music most of the night; would be difficult for kids or light sleepers. We stopped for a drink and an appetizer in the lounge before dinner. Service and food/drink were both great.In the morning we confirmed that TripAdvisor stated that the Lodge offered a free breakfast and asked again at the desk. The agent told us that it doesn't state that on any website, but he'll look into it. Again, no big deal just annoying. The breakfast buffet was warm and fresh and the staff were friendly. Next time through the city we will pick a newer, updated hotel. This one would work in a pinch though.

Stayed here 4 times in the last 1 year, decent rooms - good pool and an excellent breakfast. Would recommend.
