Empire Buffet - Lenoir

This simple small hole in the wall is all I love on a Chinese buffet. Your food is delicious, not boiled to death or left out too long to go too congeal or soggy. The sushi bar is very fresh with many different options, both raw and cooked. The servers are friendly and keep drinks full, but usually do not disturb you. The atmosphere is simple and could update a little, but it is cozy. Just one of my favorite Chinese places within 50 miles.

For Lenoir this would be a 5-star restaurant, except the service was somewhat less than stellar. My tea glass was empty by most meals. After our meal we waited, but never got our tickets, so we told the nice lady in the register what we had ordered. The food is a bit heavy, but it feels authentic. The only negative part of the atmosphere is on the front they have a wall of shame, pictures of people they claim without paying out. It feels like public executions have returned. I couldn't help, but think that maybe like my visit the abentee waitress never gave them the bill?

The food here is so tasty, always look forward to stopping in when I'm in the area.

I love it, eat here as much as I can if u come early it's cheaper and fresh. Don't recommend late night food is then ok. I always have the wontons, sweat and sour chicken, chicken on a stick and fish absolutely delicious food for unlimited and cheap. It's better than spending tons of money at other places just to get small portions. (Don't eat the seafood)
