Wine Note Da Kita - Lenno

We found the place online called to learn if they had an open kitchen around dinner time on 24th of december’23. The staff who answered the phone told us that the kitchen will open at 18.30pm and we are wellcome to come and have dinner. So we spend time until that time and when we arrived, the place was full of customers having drinks and snacks at the bar part. So we asked and notified the call we made before they were having dinner. A lady working there said they had no food to serve. We were suprised to have that answer and tried to call the same number to confirm while we were sitting in the dining section. This time a woman answered and hang up on us when we told our situation. A couple of seconds later we decided to leave and while we were leaving and were at the door of the entrance ‘a brunette lady with a tan skin’ came next to us with the rudest attitude saying we should leave the place. We were shocked as we were passing through the door, she tried to push the door towards us, jam it and hit us. My leg got stuck in the door and it hurt. I gotI got angry and told her not to be rude. We could not react properly due to the shock of the incident, but this was definitely a situation where we had to inform the local forces and file a complaint. We couldn't get any action because we were returning to our country the next day and Christmas eve. But let it be known that this is the last thing that should happen to a tourist in such a hospitable and friendly country like Italy. I feel ashamed for this institution. It is important that the Restaurant should be aware of this disrespectful and violent behavior and takes precautions.

We had the fried fish, which was not the same that we saw on the pictures. The dish was invoiced 18Eur and it was not generous at all, and too salty. The fish is not fresh. Not worth at all. My sister got a pasta which was too spicy. I had a angus tagliata, which saved the overall diner. If you want to try true Italian food, don’t stop there. It is expensive, the dishes are not generous and too expensive. Just a good point: the local white wine was good.

We visited here on a couple of occasions. First to have a couple of beers whilst watching the F1 and because we were so many, a TV was put outside for us. We were really made to feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. On our second occasion we ate dinner and had lobster with linguini. The food was amazing and the service matched. It really is nice to go to a restaurant and be made to feel welcome. Many thanks for a great time.
