I highly recommend trying the seafood hor fun with the ‘breath of wok’ as it is truly yummy! I also enjoyed the hor fun soup with roast duck and roast meat, which was quite good. Lastly, the stuffed tofu was perfectly done using silken soft tofu and crispy on the outside. Overall, it was an excellent meal and I highly recommend this restaurant!
The restaurant appears worn out and could use a renovation. The food is average, but the hot drinks are quite pricey. There are better dining options in Leicester Highcross.
I absolutely adored this restaurant. It's a refreshing change from the typical Chinese restaurants in Britain, with a vibe that makes you feel like you've stepped into a small eatery in the heart of a Chinese city. The menu offers unique dishes that you may have never tried before, and most patrons don't linger long after finishing their meal. If you're looking for something different and want to indulge in a wide array of delicious dishes at a great price, this is the place to go.
You may feel a tad intimidated walking past this restaurant, with the menus in Chinese and it tending to not host a single person from the UK... you'd be SO WRONG. The food is ridiculously good... just unbelievably so. They do have an English menu, so don't worry about that. Food cooked infront of you. We tend to get the special noodles (i think that is the name) which has allsorts of meats, noodles oyster sauce. Not like the other rubbish Chinese restaurants you get..,. this is the real deal. Drawback: it does feel like a cafe in decor and it is restaurant prices. even still, don't let this put you off, its fantastic.
People of leicester! they have an absolute gem of a Chinese restaurant on their street! the taste of china has only recently opened (three weeks when we went. three weeks ago.) it is really a caffe in Hong Kong style. watch my lunch
