Wetherby Whaler - Leeds

Very disappointed with the 1 course meal today. The chips were in mostly inedible bits and the haddock batter was overcooked. Having visited Wetherby several times and also Wakefield Outwood branches this was not a good experience

Went last night for tea we got them from the takeaway while I was waiting to be server a member of staff got a order wrong so had spare fish plonked it back heated bit still in the polystyrene tray so it sat there I picked up my order and when opened my fish was separate to the chips so I got the fish which was sat I am totally disappointed I was going to take it back but what's the point if they think that it's OK to pass on to a customer not going again my fish went in bin !!!

We visited at 6pm great lively atmosphere. Excellent food haddock and chips of course, batter crispy, chips tasty and not greasy. There was a vegetarian menu also. Good value under £14 a head. Really good staff, friendly and efficient. A great place for a quick meal, we’ll be back.

Absolutely amazing meal this evening with fantastic customer service. Talk about value for money it was first class. Well done best fish and chip restaurant in Yorkshire.

I stopped by here for a poke of chips and was really impressed by the quality and price. Served very quickly I enquired about the toilet and got looked at like I had 3 heads and snapped at WELL IT'S UPSTAIRS so i asked to go up and the response was WELL YOUR FOOD IS READY. I took this to mean don't ask me again. I was a take away customer but a paying one and the responses I got were very strange and not particularly friendly. If toilets are out of bounds for paying take away customers just say so ? It left a bad taste in my mouth despite the beautiful battery goodness.
