Bidra med feedbackI loved this place when it was open. It had great prices on the food and every movie was a double feature. The place was always lively and it is beyond convenient for it to be attached to an outlet mall.
Y'all.....this place is amazing, and what I've been waiting for Birmingham to have for years. It's in Leeds so not exactly in Birmingham, but since it's in the Shops of Grand River you might as well come early and hit up a few outlets too after you secure a good parking spot for the movie. They also have a mini golf course. The staff here is all super young and friendly, most likely highschoolers on their first job. The food here is great and surprisingly cheap. The pizza isn't huge so two people can definitely finish it. I also had an order of chicken tenders and fries. The chicken was great, not artificial at all while the fries were nice and crisp. My only complaint with the food was that they didn't have any healthy options like salads. It's basically pizza, burgers, chicken fingers/wings, hot dogs, fries, and nachos. They also have an icee machine which was a childhood favorite of mine, and on the other side is the bar. I got a HUGE strawberry/margarita igloo. LOVED it! Now back to the movie, the gravel road is tiered so if a tall car parks in front of you, it's not impossible to see. I was able to hear the movie just fine listening on the radio, but they do have portable radios you can rent as well. So the next time you're wanting to see a movie, you should definitely check this place out. I know I'll be back!
I 've never been to a drive-in before so Coyote was a completely new experience for me. I purchased a coupon from a third party site that brought my total for a double feature to only $9. We visited on a Thursday night to catch a double feature of The Black Panther and Coco which was an odd combination but we really wanted to see both of those movies, so it was perfect for our needs. We arrived about an hour before show time and had no trouble finding a spot right in front of the screen. We hadn 't had dinner yet so we made the walk over to the canteen. It 's actually a cool little spot with very clean restrooms, a put-put golf section, outside seating, indoor seating and a bar. They offer your typical fare, such as burgers, hot dogs, popcorn, etc. We ordered two chili dogs, a double cheeseburger, two fries, two drinks and a small popcorn which brought our total to $33. Kind of pricey for the quality of food but it 's a movie ya know? The service was slow, even though there weren 't many people there and the food wasn 't too good either. The chili dogs were eh and my burger tasted like dirty oil for some reason? Although we did really enjoy the fries and the popcorn was good as well. Anyway, we finished up our food and made the journey back to our car just in time for the movie. Upon entrance, they give you a sheet that explains how everything works. Each screen has a different FM frequency that you have to tune into so you can listen to the movie you 're watching. Neat, right? Anyway, the movies were great and the experience overall was really good. I respect that this place is owned locally and really appreciate their efforts. I 'll definitely be back soon!
Went for a Christmas treat; The Last Jedi Coco double feature. Family all bundled up and ready, got there early and used some vouchers for putt-putt from a previous visit whereupon it rained. Bought tickets for the newly-released movies online ahead of time just in case, but turned out to be completely unnecessary. Grabbed 4 white balls (no, not colored like any other putt putt place in the world, but I'll come back to that) and went out to play as the early-setting winter sun had just set. It was *really* dark, with just some Christmas-style string lights and tiny (weak output, no help on visibility) LED lamps hanging throughout. The ground between the holes was filled with smooth, white rocks, approximately the size of white golf balls. We still managed to have fun, don't get me wrong, but with the darkness and how easily camouflaged a badly-hit ball would get, it was tough. Not to mention that everyone having the same white ball sucked. We got a couple of beers, a pizza for everyone and slushees for the kids. Food was great and prices were very reasonable. Both movies were excellent and overall this was a great deal. So 4.5 stars on just the movie and food side of things but the putt putt situation needs a ton of work. If not willing to upgrade the lighting and ball color situation, it'd probably be better to just shut it down after the time changes in the fall, when it's too dark to play with the amenities as they are. As far as I know it's the only putt putt place in town (haven't looked into it) but this part brings me way down to just 3 stars. Sorry, I'm sure they'll improve it in time? We'll be back for sure, but just for a movie and food.
I love this place so much. It's cheaper to go to than a traditional theater and you get 2x the movies for half the price. By far my favorite theater on the planet.
