Excellent Choice - Leavenworth

Amazing southern comfort food! The catfish is perfect! You have to grab you food and go, there's no seating. We make it a picnic! We drive 35 miles just to go there and it's so worth it!

Holy catfish dinner! This tiny establishment delivers on its name. It 's only open W/Th/F for lunch through supper with a menu full of Southern style soul comfort food. Run by wonderful people. It 's a grab-it-and-run kind of place (no seating).Four of us had small catfish and red beans and rice, fried okra, candied yams, jalapeño hushpuppies, cornbread, and peach cobbler, and pecan pie. Every bite better than the last. Cost about $15 each. But there were leftovers for another small meal.We will definitely be back again and again whenever visiting Leavenworth.

The food was mediocre at best. The fish tasted like fish fry with no seasoning. The greens literally tasted like they were out of the can. The service was amazing but I wish it would have matched the food. I took one bite and was done. The hot sauce wouldn't even resurrect the

I had the small catfish and Mac and cheese for lunch. it came with a piece of moist, delicious cornbread. The catfish filets were breaded in cornmeal, perfectly cooked and the mac and cheese was homey and had a good cheese flavor without being heavy. The service was welcoming. call your order in advance and either name a time for pick up or get how long your wait will be. Mine was 25 minutes and we'll worth the wait. There isn't dine in available, but napkins and utensils are provided. I'll be rescheduling any trips to Leavenworth to days they are open.

Our family moved to Kansas recently and this was one of the first restaurants we tried and we were not disappointed. The customer service is unlike anything we've experienced before, Rachel is so welcoming and kind! The catfish is delicious, fried perfectly! Grab a slice of the amazing chocolate cake too!
