Bidra med feedbackStopped for lunch on way to Auzelles warm welcome, attentive service, delicious food including an imaginative children’s menu and a magnificent view. Just wonderful.
Six of us came here on a busy Saturday in June and had a wonderful meal. The service as ever was friendly and efficient and the food delicious. There are two menues 25 and 33 euros with plenty of options The choice of starters...is excellent and difficult to choose from gazpacho, tomate mozzarella, gravadlax and others. For the main courses again plenty of choice dorade, dos de cabillaud, paupiettes de veau and so on. On the cheaper menu there is a choice of cheese or dessert again a good range the dearer menu lets you have both and the cheese trolley has to be seen to be believed. The wines are a bit pricey but given the quality of the food and the service one accepts that. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I visit this restaurant several times each year when I am in the area, because many things including the location and the service are consistently good. This was my first visit this year, and I was disappointed to find that the 2019 food menu looks...identical to the 2018 menu, so no innovative and inspirational changes there then. However, the wine menu has changed because the prices have all increased. Visitors should be aware that the cheapest bottle of red wine (Syrah/Grenache from local vineyard Jordy) is 24 euros, yes that's twenty four euros for a bottle you can buy in the supermarket for 3 or 4 euros, last year the same bottle was 19 euros which was still excessive. I know a restaurant needs to make a profit but a 600% mark-up for wine? Also the cutlery (knives and forks etc) are such a triumph of style over substance that ever time you release the grip on the fork it wants to roll over on its side! I hope these little issues can be addressed because the food is usually very nice, there is a lot that is good with this restaurant too.
After reading the reviews here, we were really anticipating something special which might take time to reach the table. In fact, the service was by far the most impressive part of the experience despite a packed restaurant. The food chosen from the...lunch menu suggests the restaurant should be on the look out for a quality chef. The sauce for the ceviche was quite bizarre removing all taste from the fish itself. The main course of fillet of pork managed to successfully remove all flavour from the meat and the tiny portion of mash that went with it was supremely forgettable. Very disappointing way to spend good food time. There are far, far better value restaurants in the region similar price, also with good views and with great food. We won't be returning to this one. Not recommended.
Once again superb friendly efficient service, great lunch with the ‘basse temp’ lamb shank being one of the best I have ever tasted. My sons fillet steak was perfectly rare and juicy, with bone marrow. Sea Bream for Yvonne was again excited well. Great wine...list, made it a great lunch, with even the sun making an appearance Well done to the whole team!
