Bidra med feedbackThis was our second visit this year. we went in april and the service was fair and eating well. return in august and service was appalling and food average. not like the French cuisine we have grown to love. we waited to serve. three times asked for water in French, each time ignored. 3 times asked for the bill, finally went to the cash register to pay only half the bill of someone else on ours. twice the bill was wrong, then we asked to share the bill between us and our friends with us. the waitress was terrible about my false French. everywhere I was in France, I was always encouraged to try to speak with limited French. Even the older man we believe could be the manager was not interested in our problem. that made us feel that our only crime was English, as the other customers seem good.
I only discuss whether a meal was spectacular or terrible, because I think every restaurant can have a free day, but this place falls into the latter. we initially spent about 40€ in drinks because we realized that we had to wait an hour. before the food service and wanted to save our table, the young lady who served us was friendly and helpful and ended their layer. Therefore, we had taken over our order at 19.10 o'clock by new unfriendly employees and was 3rd in the waiting line. the restaurant quickly filled up to the maximum capacity within minutes of 7pm. what our eye caught was that everyone had taken their orders inside and outside and served all his food, but we had not seen our food yet. we asked about 19.55 a.m. after our food, the food arrived at 8.00 a.m. and looked like it was for one. the food we ordered was fast, nothing was necessary to prepare. my further complaining was that my main course 16€ longoustines consisted of 4 cool cool longoustins with a fourth malt and some salat and a pot mayo. we spoke kindly and in French to show that we are trying. the older lady we suspect was the owner friendly. we are not susceptible to paranoia, but we really feel that it was pure because we were brittle because we cannot think for living of us why we were otherwise treated so badly. the staff was friendly for other French customers and eating came immediately. we had to ask for the bill three times. we had two small, well-noticed children with us and they were so miserable for us. Adults are a thing, but children should not be involved.
We came into this restaurant that just went out of another terrible restaurant when we had waited over half an hour and we had not even got a menu. they took our order immediately in this restaurant, but then we waited about 40 minutes. to actually get our moule fries that were quite tasteless and very small and the frits were overcooked. extremely poor service.
Unfortunately we were late arriving in Le Crotoy, which is a fabulous place, and at 10.05 when we got to Le Saint Pierre we were told it was too late to eat by the guy who was serving and this we accepted as all the...restaurants appeared to stop, serving at 10. However at 10.15 as we strolled back past Le Saint Pierre we were a bit surprised to see 4 people just being served with moules in the same seats we had literally just vacated as 10 due to no food bung served? Ah c'est la vie there.must have been a good reason: ,t We hope to,return to charming Le Crotoy again but this time hopefully we will arrive in time f
I only ever review if a meal was spectacular or dreadful because I believe every restaurant can have an off day but this place falls into the latter. We initially spent around 40€ in drinks because we realised we would have to wait an hour before the food service and wished to save our table the young lady who served us was friendly and helpful and was finishing her shift. Therefore we had our order taken at 7.10pm by new unfriendly staff and was 3rd in the queue. The restaurant quickly filled up to maximum capacity within minutes of being 7pm. What caught our eye was that every table inside and out had their orders taken and all their food had been served but we still hadn't seen our food. We asked about our food at 7.55pm. The food arrived at 8.00pm and looked like it had been standing for awhile. The food we ordered was quick to prepare so nothing arduous. My further complaint was that my main course 16€ langoustines consisted of 4 fridge cold langoustines with a quarter tomatoe and some lettuce and a pot of mayo. We spoke friendly and in French, to show that we are making an effort. The older lady inside who we presume was the owner was friendly. We're not prone to paranoia but we really felt it was purely because we were British because we can't for the life of us think why else we were treated so badly. The staff were friendly to other french customers and food came promptly. We even had to ask for the bill three times too. We had two small well behaved children with us and to treat them this way was appalling to us. Adults is one thing but children shouldn't be involved.
