Spicket River Brewery - Lawrence

This brewery is fantastic! The beers are delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully authentic. It’s refreshing to visit a place like this, especially when so many other craft breweries are starting to feel similar.

I would advise against trying to book this food truck. John-David has been completely unresponsive and hasn't managed to secure the necessary liquor licenses. He ignores emails, texts, and phone calls. He makes promises about being there and presents a nice menu, but ultimately, he let us down during a three-day charity event. Many people were looking forward to having the food and beer truck at the event, but that never happened. It's impossible to even reach his "partner" at the brewery, as the contact number is out of service. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with a food truck.

I had a great experience at this brewery! The beer was wonderful, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I traveled all the way from Texas to try the local brews and wasn’t disappointed. I sampled a flight of five beers: Not Sure IPA, Calamasa, Bodegas, and Cruel Summer. The region has a rich history that’s intriguing to explore. If you decide to visit, be sure to find the address and park across from the brewery to access the basement taproom.

While waiting in line to close out my tab at the end of the night we were all accosted by a belligerent employee to “Get the f— out!” We could only leave as fast as our tabs were getting settled. The employee screeched at us as we were lined up to give Spicket River money. I know for a fact this will be the last time I ever go.

Great place. Staff very friendly. Good variety of beers and with Los 3 Garcia Mexican Food Truck we had best tacos and burritos.
