Golden Brumby Chinese Restaurant & Take Away

Actually great Chinese food, rare in Tasmania : . We got a large takeaway order on a Friday night. A few things on our order were in the freshly filled bain-marie but most needed to be cooked for us so we were there about 35 minutes. Talk about busy!! The door never stopped opening with a constant trail of customers, many of whom are regulars and greeted by name. Loved the bright and happy customer service displayed by everyone working there and we did get some freebies due to the wait which were great. The bain-marie dishes were emptied and replaced about every 10 minutes so that was all fresh. And watching customers fill their large or jumbo boxes with as much as could be jammed in there was very interesting. Lots of fabulous options on the full menu. We chose several vegetarian dishes wish were all superb! And the chicken with honey very yum! Fresh greens in oyster sauce was my favourite. Will make this a regular now we know how wonderful it is.

Delicious food and such friendly service! Even on a busy Saturday night our order was completed in 10 minutes and the staff were so nice even gave us free pork bites for the way home. Definitely recommend this place!

After years of hearing about this place, it's great to finally be a patron. Great customer service, very warm and welcoming and inclusive. It is not difficult to say that this is a family restaurant with many years of experience. Just a few basic menu items for dinner tonight that were quite amazing so it left me to go back and try more from their menu.
