The Tailored Tea - LATHAM

Adorable environment. Restored 1806 home with original woodwork, floors, etc. Tables are set with closlth tablecloths with lace overlays, China tea cups, cloth napkins. Scones are to do for! Highly recommend for a unique lunch or tea experience, all while watching planes take off.

We had the BEST time at The Tailored Tea! The owner makes the most delicious scones, desserts, tea sandwiches. We could not get enough of the tea also so perfect. I recommend this spot to anyone who loves a whimsical atmosphere, tea, scones, a bit of history, and friendly attentive staff and owners. We cannot wait to come back again! The Tailored Tea is a gem.

Our Jane Austen Society recently had our High Tea at the Tailored Tea in Latham. The food and service was amazing. High praises all around our table for Jared and his staff.

We went for tea, but ended up having lunch. My daughter and I split the frittata and the veggie sandwich. Frittata was amazing, The veggie sandwich could have used some more pizzazz. A few more vegetables, maybe more hummus, and maybe the bread could have been toasted. My mother had the chicken sausage and that was great. We each had a scone which was delicious. I especially liked the clotted cream and raspberry jam that came with. I would definitely go again.

Awesome food. Awesome tea. Awesome service! The restaurant is actually a old home set up with lots of tables. All the tea ware is vintage and even the napkins are nice being embroidered. The house is located right next to the airport so you'll occasionally hear/see planes taking but it doesn't distract from the meal too much. I ordered the historic high noon tea which comes with several tea sandwiches (all very unique flavors), two scones, and a dessert platter. It's enough to feed just about two people and probably too much for one. All the food is good and the tea brewed very well. The staff are all nice and the food came out quick. Make sure you call ahead of time to make reservations otherwise you'll likely not get a seat. Highly recommend for a quaint date or a holiday like mother's Day.
