Bidra med feedbackI was disappointed with the service during my visit to this restaurant. The server was very rude. On December 5th, 2022, at the Maryland Parkway location in Las Vegas, we ordered a lunch combo with side dishes. When we politely requested a few ice cubes, the server snapped back, saying "walang ice" (meaning "no ice") in a very unfriendly manner, which was hard to believe given that the restaurant has fountain drinks that require ice to keep them cold. We were just asking for a small amount, and we were very polite about it. Because of this experience, we won’t be returning to this particular location. The staff should definitely be trained to be more courteous.
I was disappointed by the rudeness of the server during my visit. On December 5, 2022, at the Maryland Parkway location in Las Vegas, my friends and I ordered a lunch combo along with some extra items. When we politely requested a small ice cube, the server responded curtly with "walang ice" in an unfriendly tone. This was surprising, as the restaurant serves well drinks and clearly has ice available. We made our request kindly, not wanting much at all. Due to this experience, we have decided not to return to this restaurant. It’s important for your staff to receive training on how to be more courteous.
The last time I checked, Aroz Caldo is traditionally served hot in the Philippines. However, Grill City serves it cold for breakfast, which is rather unappetizing.
Wow. I wouldn't recommend using door pickup here. They do not keep track of who picks up food orders. I was informed that someone had picked up my order, which was not set for delivery, but they couldn't tell me who it was. The cashier just shrugged while chewing gum and dismissed me by saying I should follow up with whoever placed the order. When DoorDash support called the restaurant, the same gum-chewing cashier answered the phone and then handed it off to a manager. They confirmed to support that the order was picked up, but it still showed as pending in their system. For some reason, it was very difficult to get a resolution from DoorDash, but I don’t fault them for that. Meanwhile, I was being stared at while I was on the phone with support. It’s not my fault they didn’t verify the order confirmation upon pickup. Maybe they should reconsider leaving orders on the counter. I find it hard to believe that someone actually requested my order, as “Jill Marie” is quite an unusual name in the Filipino community. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.
We wanted to sample various small dishes, but quickly discovered that was difficult to do. The skewers of pork and chicken require you to order five at a time. They also had four types of fish available. I chose the one that looked the most appealing, which turned out to be bangus (vinegar-marinated milkfish). We also ordered corn on the cob, rice, and grilled longanisa (sausage). The skewers were tender but served at room temperature and coated in a sweet sauce. My husband enjoyed the sausages. This was only my second experience with bangus, and I must say the flavors were much more complex this time, and it tasted better overall. The vinegar sauce was also significantly better, and I appreciated that the fish was stuffed with vegetables. My previous encounter with bangus at a different restaurant left me with a tough and chewy experience, but this one was pleasantly dry without being hard or chewy. If anyone reading this knows how bangus is typically prepared, I'd love to hear your thoughts. I've had Caribbean vinegar-marinated fish before and expected a similar texture, but this was different. The corn was a bit dried out, but the rice was excellent—possibly the best I've had anywhere.
