Bidra med feedbackWe love the Trota and we go there at least one time every time we visit INtrodacqua. It fun, it’s loud, the food is great the vino excellent . Glamor it is not and the only thing that stops me from giving it a 5 star rating is the noise it’s acoustics. BUT great place to go for a great, price worthy meal and lovely people who own it and serve.
As this was our last night in 'Introdaqua, we wanted to try La Trotta after all the buzz locals had told us about their seafood, as the new owner was Neopolitan. Well, the owner does know a thing or two about pizza, which was very light and tasty as well as reasonably priced, but he gets a big fat goose egg when it comes to fish! I did a better job than him with my calamari, vongole, scampi and pasta than his poor excuse for a bland, utterly tasteless broiled calamari (were they calamari? They looked small enough to pass as sardines, and the 4 scampi were served head on and utterly tasteless as well! To make matters worse, as this place has no AC, the owner did little to accommodate us patrons who were sweating, by failing to open all his windows. Sorry, next time, it will be 4 pizzas to go, and back to our B&B! It 's too bad Anima was booked solid that night!
Go there eat pizza and forget about the rest; The antipasti looked very sad and the taste was nothing special; The arrosticini was probably the worst I ever tried, cooked on a flat top were absolutely terrible, arrosticini must be cooked over charcoal and they should definitely advise You if they are not doing so;
Sensational food, authentic Italian cooking. Great table service. Traditional pizza and breads baked fresh daily. Exceptional value for money. Crisp linen table cloths and napkins.
We were recommended La Trota whilst staying in Introdacqua, we learned quickly that you need to book a table in advance as it's a very popular restaurant. The pizzas are amazing and reasonably priced. Staff were patient with us as we didn't speak much Italian. We would happily visit again.
