Tacolisious - Lapeer MI

This taco truck is fantastic, serving delicious street tacos that are packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned. Unless you have a very small appetite, I recommend ordering at least two—you won't regret it! I also tried the chips and salsa, which were served in a generous portion that could easily feed four or provide some leftovers for later. There is parking available, and there are outdoor tables for those who want to dine on the spot. Most customers seem to order takeout, but definitely give them a try; it's worth it!

Now, let’s talk about the tamale—it’s absolutely worth trying. Typically, the masa in most tamales tends to be dry and crumbly, lacking in flavor, but that is not the case here. It’s moist, holds together well while you’re trying to reach the filling, and has a unique taste of its own—though not overpowering, you can tell it’s different. If you’re a fan of tacos and tamales, do yourself a favor and visit Ta Canijo on State Street. They’re open Monday through Friday, as they have other commitments on the weekends. The location offers plenty of parking and large tables with umbrellas for standing. However, there’s a note of concern: according to one of the employees, they may not be around much longer. While customers love the food, and the nearby community is supportive, I've been informed that the Village of Lockport isn’t as welcoming as it could be. Let’s show Lockport that we appreciate Ta Canijo!

The tacos here are incredibly tasty and authentic! The elote and salsa were fantastic as well. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable! Definitely the best tacos in Lockport!

The tacos here are amazing! We have tried all 3 kinds and were not disappointed with any of them. The pastor is my favorite. The chips are outstanding as is the salsa. Prices are very reasonable and the people are friendly. The tacos are street tacos so for me that means I order 4. They are supposedly remodeling the small building behind the truck for permanent use. Can't wait! If you are looking for the best tacos in Lockport try them out!

Super tasty tacos! They are on the smaller/ street taco size but are filled generously enough. You have the choice of chicken (which comes shredded), steak and al pastor. I have to reccomend all 3 They also have elotes in a cup. I'll try that next time. Until then enjoy these tasty bites... #AlfieEats
