Xalisco Grill - Lancaster

I made reservations for my husband's birthday dinner for a party of five and confirmed it. After driving 45 minutes, we arrived only to find out that we couldn't enter because of a sweet 15 party. The owner informed us that they don't have online reservations and don't even have a website.

I visited this restaurant with my family for Sunday brunch, and we had an excellent experience! The food service was fantastic. They have mariachis performing every other Sunday from 12 to 3, which added to the atmosphere. I'm excited to return and try out their Country Thursdays!

This was definitely a disappointment. The menu had very limited options, and the service was subpar; it seemed like they were understaffed. Our server was attending to almost the entire restaurant, which made it take forever to get our bill. I had hoped we had finally found good food in the AV.

Absolutely delicious! I've tried a variety of dishes at many restaurants that have come and gone in this valley, but this one is EXCEPTIONAL. The ceviche, enchiladas, and taquitos were all amazing. The Three Marias dish was fantastic as well. My father, who is very particular about great food, was thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend it!

I ordered the mole burrito and a Xalisco margarita. Honestly, the mole was hit or miss—sometimes it was great, but other times it was a bit rubbery. The rice also varied; it was hard at times and sometimes soft, which makes me think it might have been microwaved. I went around 5 PM. The service was excellent, and the drink was even better, which helped me overlook the texture issues and focus on the flavor. Overall, I had a positive experience, but I could tell that some of the food wasn’t freshly cooked.
