I absolutely adored the room we stayed in for two nights; it was beautifully designed and surprisingly spacious. There was ample space in the closet and drawers, and we appreciated the generous supply of towels and toiletries. The large bathtub was a slice of heaven, so make sure you carve out some time to indulge in that relaxation. And after a refreshing evening, don’t miss out on the delicious breakfast options available. The Tavern is certainly a must-visit destination for couples looking to escape.

The staff is warm and friendly, and the talented chef actively seeks feedback. There’s a palpable enthusiasm for future events, and the accommodations are lovely. The food is incredibly delicious and reasonably priced, with chef’s specials and new offerings every week. What’s not to love? This has become my new favorite spot!

The food was incredible; everything was exceptional! The hush puppies were fantastic, and the crab cake BLT (Waterman's BLT) was a unique and delicious sandwich. I even tried the she-crab soup and ordered a bowl right away! In summary, the food is outstanding, and the service was excellent!

We have eaten here 4 times over the years and watched it sadly get worse..until NOW. Food is excellent. Staff is spartan, and reservations get lost, but as long as they keep the cook they have a shot. Wife and I had the chicken alfredo on Valentines day. it was excellent, and as a special treat the salad was well done as well. lots of thought and prep went into something simple but an item that sets the tone for the rest of the evening. WELL DONE Thanks and we will be back.

Beautiful atmosphere! Excellent cuisine! Everyone must try this Historic Tavern’s delicious food! They are closed Monday Tuesday. Excellent brunch/ lunch on Sundays until 4 pm!
