Brunch Box - Lakeland

I have been coming here for years used to be the best till the old owner left new owners) the food is definitely not the same i got a ham cheese sandwich and was told i have to ask for the cheese thus) ham cheese. husband got shepherd's pie and the potatoes were not completely done only one poor server shame shame had a big party by us but one server more worried about stocking empty table condiments than customer service i get you have to survive too but with out customers you wont!

I absolutely do not recommend this place. My wife ordered an open faced roast beef that was incredibly salty. She said it tasted like the frozen steakums we had as a kid with a thick packaged gravy on top. Part of her mashed potatoes were hard. Our 6 year old daughter got “2 Jr Burgers” off the kids menu. The first pair had cheese after ordered it with no cheese. The second pair came out with a thick layer of seasoning that our kid couldn’t eat. She said it was gross. It was a visible thick layer of seasoning including dried onions, like something you’d add to a meatloaf mix. She never ate the meal and we told them it’s not good. This isn’t a “kid meal”. My patty melt was ok. My onion rings looked like one had a bite already taken out of it, but I was over dealing with them by the time I found that. The lady (owner/manager? ignored our waitress who asked her to remove our daughters meal and she finally took a whopping $2 off. She got mad and stormed over to our table to see the burgers, when the waitress was standing right next to her at the register with the plate in her hand. She’d just showed her the burgers. She was indifferent to problems caused by her cook, and her customer service was horrible. We will definitely never go back there again. I still gave the waitress a 20% tip based on the $40 because it wasn’t her fault.

We always go there for breakfast and we never ordered very complex dishes but from our experience until now this is one of the nicest places to have breakfast in Lakeland. Food is always good and prices are unbeatable!

The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly! The western omelet was super yummy with fresh veggies in it. Highly recommend this restaurant with its wonderful staff!
