The Olive Tap - Lake Zurich

We love this place. They have many types of olive oil, balm, spices, pkges of different types of soup, salt grinders, salad dressing bottles to make themselves choose many on the bottle. I can go.on and on. Besides all this. the staff there is wonderful! Come to Long Grove and look at it! I hope you love it as much as we do!!

Best selection of high quality oils and vinegars. Especially the balsamic reservoir, a thick syrup of sweet balsamic, reminds me of a favorite I bought in Florence, Italy. Also the Sicilian lemon loves balm, and so many others. The roasted garlic oil is the best I ever had. Many great recipes on the website also. Very helpful sales staff, beautiful gift baskets, herbs, salts, other related gifts, pasta also. You could spend a lot of time there sampling and learn about new ways to cook with these delicious products. My counter is filled with bottles from the Olive Tap... well worth the stop!

Every time I visit Long Grove, I make it a point to stop at Olive Tap. It is a great place to taste a variety of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. They offer the traditional flavors, but they also offer some very unique blends. Every friend I brought to Olive Tap loved the dark chocolate balsamico vinegar. Most actually bought a bottle. It has a rich chocolate flavor that is not too exaggerated, combined with the tangie balsamic vinegar, it makes for a truly unique combination that would work well for meat and fruit salads above all. The service is great, the ladies are very helpful and give really good suggestions on how to use the oils and vinegar, they also make good recommendations on pairings.

Love their olive oils. We no longer live in Illinois, so I have ordered my favorites, Persian Lime, via their website. It is very good on fish and in salad dressings!

If you love to cook and eat quality food, this place is for you. Before shopping here the first time I couldn't imagine why someone would go to a store with just olive oil and vinegar but after shopping here for years I can't imagine NOT buying these quality products here regularly. Olive oils and vinegars are not created equal...the fresh olive infused oils and vinegars are fantastic for salads, cooking, baking or even for finishing dishes. (I add spicey parmesan garlic as a finishing oil to almost everything! We love the variety of balsamic vinegars and glazes and use them to make outstanding salads, bruschettas and even desserts.
