Cadillac Mexican Kitchen Tequila

We began our meal with chips and salsa, which cost $4.95. Typically, Mexican restaurants provide complimentary chips and salsa, so we were disappointed with this establishment, especially considering the owner owns multiple restaurants.

The food at this restaurant was good, but the service was not great. Despite this, I still left a generous tip. However, later in the evening, I received a text from Cadillac asking to confirm my tip amount. It turned out that the server had altered my credit card slip to add a $50 tip more than what I had initially indicated. Cadillac mentioned that they would investigate the situation with their surveillance. The restaurant had recently reopened in Lake Charles, so it seems like they may have to deal with some dishonest employees.

The hostess was unprofessional when we asked to move our reservation up 30 minutes from 6:15 to 5:45pm on Sunday. She gave an unnecessary explanation of why it was not possible and firmly stated she could not seat us early. However, the bartender overheard and allowed us to sit at the bar. The bar service, food, and drinks were great. Unfortunately, when we were seated for our 6:15 reservation, it was in the bar area with noise and TVs. The enchiladas al carbon we ordered were cold and not made as requested, but we chose not to send them back. Overall, we were unhappy with the meal experience.
