Bidra med feedbackThe food is decent for the price. Mostly Mediterranean food. If you’re looking for their buffet, from September 23, buffet is only available on weekends and Friday night. The place can be so empty sometimes. We were the only group eating there when another customer arrived after 15 minutes. Limited choice of drinks. Tried to order a lemonade, but they don’t have it. I just wish they refill the food faster next time. Everything else was okay
Update 2/17/19 Amer's Grill is now offering a buffet for lunch and dinner on Wednesday's and Sunday's. We went today and I'm so full that I can barely breath. It was worth it though! I've added more pictures, check them out. They had 6 or 7 kinds of kebabs (lamb, chicken, beef), salads, hummus and other dips, soup, rice dishes, stews, falafel, potatoes, chicken or lamb shawarma pita sandwiches, and several desserts. I'm probably forgetting stuff, there was a lot of food! August/2018 This restaurant is wonderful! They just opened and they are still remodeling but they are open for lunch and dinner. Amer, who came out to greet us personally, said the Grand Opening will probably be in September. The food-oh my goodness. I went with all appetizers: Falafel-6 pieces served on a bed of lettuce with Tahini sauce. Very minty, perfectly cooked. Hummus-homemade with olive oil and what I believe was a tomato and eggplant relish, served with pita. Creamy and fresh. Kibbeh-my favorite. Cracked wheat with lamb and pine nuts, served with a cucumber and tomato salad. Spinach pie-2 pieces with spinach and a tomato-like sauce. Tasted kind of like pizza without cheese. Ask for a side of garlic sauce to dip it in! My sister had an appetizer of Koosa Mutabal, which is similar to hummus but made with zucchini. I kept sneaking bites of it when she wasn't looking! For her main course she had the Beef and Lamb Shawarma dinner. At first sight it looks like a huge plate of meat but underneath are marinated onions that go perfectly with the tender lamb and beef. Instead of the rice and soup that normally comes with the entrée, she substituted with a cucumber yogurt salad. Our waitress brought us Labneh (an appetizer of yogurt and olive oil) and 3 different sauces to try with our meals. A garlic sauce, a slightly spicy relish, and a super spicy hot sauce. Overall, the food was fantastic. The service was excellent. The prices are very reasonable, especially for the huge amount of food you receive. I can't wait to see what it's like after they redecorate (it used to be that terrible Chinese buffet). I think Amer's is going to be a terrific addition to Lafayette dining!
Really impressed with this restaurant. Service was excellent and the food was even better. I just wish it would get the business it deserves. If it were closer to Purdue’s campus, it would probably get a lot more business than where it is now.
First-time visit, I have to say I was impressed with the flavorful meat. in Lafayette proper there isn't much in the way of Middle Eastern or Mediterranean food, this was a refreshing change. Only thing I could say as something that needs Improvement, the place is just too big. My wife and I were the only people in the restaurant for about a half hour. When we left there were a good seven tables that had been seated.
Food is delicious, high quality, and good value for the money (nice portion size! . Highly recommend to anyone. I will definitely be coming back.
