Shang Hai - Laconia

The Chinese restaurant provides a welcoming environment and a wide selection of tasty dishes and beverages. Though it may not be the most peaceful location, it draws in a diverse group of amiable customers. My recent visit was a fantastic first-time adventure, particularly when placing a large order over the phone.

Visited the area. Several people smoke right in front of the front door and as soon as I got into the house, I realized why the dining room is constantly closed. You can order food to go or sit in the bar and eat. This is more of a local day drinkable than it is a Chinese restaurant. The food was greed. Only server was the bartender, and she was busy bartending. If you drink somewhere and day, but don't want to be parked in front of a bar, that's your place. If you want good Chinese food, go somewhere else.

The hot and sour soup at this restaurant is absolutely delicious, and Yen, who has been serving us for many years, is always friendly and a joy to be around.

I usually go to Manchester, Heng Won to get my Chinese food but decided to stay here in the area and try a Chinese food place here in Laconia. This was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life for $90 I got hardly nothing and the food was definitely not worth the money. Would rather take a 45-minute trip to get my Chinese food.

The portions are large, the prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and they?ve got a dedicated gluten free ?gf? menu. The exterior is rough, the neighborhood isn?t the prettiest, but the restaurant is good and reliable. I got the General Tso?s, fried rice, and crispy beef for take out. All were gluten free, all were good. We will be back. Staff was helpful, food was ready quick. A short drive to Lake Winnipesaukee?s West shore. Great Chinese food in the lakes region.
