Jimmy John's - La Verne

YOU NEVER GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION!Unfortunately, the first impression of Jimmy John's in La Verne, CA was very poor. The person taking orders was cold, unfriendly, and had an expression on her face that was as unwelcoming as the iceberg lettuce she put on my sandwich. When I placed my order, there was no one in front of me and no one waiting behind me. However, the person who took my order seemed indifferent and uninvolved. The way she represented the company gave me the impression that she did not enjoy her job.After I got my order, I went back to the counter and asked for the sandwich to be cut in half. While holding the large cutting knife in her hand she walked to the counter, refused to cut the sandwich, then still carrying the cutting knife, walked over to a different section and handed me a plastic knife. Incredible. I wasn't impressed with Jimmy John's during my first visit due to their below-par service and the unfriendliness of the server. Displeased with my experience, I decided to return and requested to speak to the manager. I spoke to Taylor and Eric as the manager was unavailable. They apologized for my negative experience.Sad to say the first impression of Jimmy John's was already set, but maybe a better impression could have been made if someone else had waited on me.JS

A couple of thingsWalked in and they are blasting death metal. Now, I like metal as much as anyone but not at a restaurant. Wasn't greeted either. Nor a thank you for coming in as I left. They really seemed like they weren't happy to be at work. Next, they were out of whole pickles. How is JJ out of whole pickles on a Saturday. The chips were not very fresh. Paul date wasn't until September 4, but they just didn't taste fresh. Not the first time Jimmy John's chips have been less than stellar. Maybe it's just who makes them. The problem is, you can't really bring your own chips in to the place, or should I say, you shouldn't. maybe next time I will. The sandwich was OK. Pretty much what you expect.

I LOVE the JJ App!!It saves my favorites making it so easy to order. I'm able to pick it up at the designated area by the door.JJ has a reward program. Definitely keeps me going back.When I'm traveling out of state, I see a JJ... I make the stop for lunch.

Great service. Awesome fresh food. Employees friendly and enthusiastic.Clean facility. Quick service.
