Bidra med feedbackCame here at 10:30 on a Friday night. They were closed. Drive-through was open but I I was walking up and couldn't have any dinner. Maybe mention that on your website?
This brand new location is super clean. Hope they can keep it up... Their burritos are a bit small but the fact that they offer whole wheat tortillas is wonderful! They run a bit over $7 for a carne asada which I thought was pricey, but really, the fact that they try to offer healthy-ish options is a huge plus. The salsas are tasty and a good level of spiciness. Wish they had lime slices though. The people working there have been friendly and my husband reports way they handled drive though orders was good (read order back with modifications and asked how many salsas we wanted). Quality of the food is good (not mind blowing) but consistent so far. Keep up the good work! Will be back for sure.
As a regular customer from the neighborhood, I was disappointed. I am a delivery driver for a company that had requested me to pick up an order that morning. I had to initiate the conversation, informing her of the order and the customer’s name since she seemed incapable of engaging with me. After she retrieved the order, she asked to see the name on my app, which I showed her. She then tied a knot in the bag, placed it on the counter, and bent down to start another task. I was left confused, unsure if she was grabbing something else. It felt deliberate, like she was trying to ignore me and display her negativity. With no further interaction or even a goodbye, I just picked up the bag and left. Normally, I’d be the one to wish someone a good day, but her unfriendly energy threw me off. I'm writing this to express that this particular cashier might be better suited for a back-of-house position, as customer service clearly isn’t her strength. Her rudeness and arrogance were unnecessary. Management will have no trouble identifying the encounter based on the date and time. I believe that either retraining for this employee is essential, or she should be moved out of the customer-facing role. This type of attitude is unacceptable, and I find the entire experience quite disappointing.
I absolutely adore this restaurant! Located in La Mesa, it's a convenient drive-thru spot, and I believe there's an eat-in area as well. The food they serve is incredibly authentic, fresh, and flavorful Mexican cuisine. I've even had them cater events for me, and it was a huge success! Their tortillas are amazing, and the quesadillas and burritos are fantastic! Their tacos always hit the spot, and I can't forget to mention their breakfast burritos—wow! You really need to give this place a try. They also have a location on Fairmont Avenue that's open 24 hours! As someone who moved to the San Diego area three years ago, I've discovered Sombreros, and it has become a regular favorite of mine. Now, with the La Mesa location just around the corner, I'm thrilled! You definitely have to check this place out!
I absolutely love Sombrero Catering! It's an amazing value for feeding a large group, and the Mexican food is simply the best—everyone enjoys it. Plus, there’s no cooking involved! We ordered party platters, and they were a huge success. Sombrero even delivered them for us. The enchiladas are incredible, especially that sauce! We also had carnitas, beans, rice, all the toppings, plus chips and the absolute BEST salsa ever! Yum! We even brought some party platters to friends during the holidays, and they were a hit as well. Thank you, Sombrero Mexican Food! We'll definitely be back soon.
