The pack was very good, even better with the Chutney. The Pulao was more like biryani, tasted like a good home cooked biryani and quite fill. We scratched everything, it was so delicious. The Kulfi was left a little down because it tasted just like regular Kulfi and the Chai Tea Latte taste was very subtle. The cutting of Chai, as always, was a good end to a delicious meal: 1. Visitor review: Soul soothing, hearty and domestic disease solve food!! It's so good! Probably my favorite Indian place. Came here on a Tuesday night, no crowd, was sitting right away. Like the feeling of the restaurant. You have photos of old Bombay on the wall, Hindustani classic music in the background and inviting decoration. We ordered Chai to cut the Baido Paratha, alleppey shrimp curry and goat cheese and onions naan. Cut chai is fantastic!! Very authentic with the tin bowl, glass bowls and the touch of ginger, fenugreek and other masala. Back to the streets of Pune where we drink this tea merrily! It was my first time to eat the paratha. It is a mixture of peeled lamb and egg filled into square bread. Really good. Could have done more spiciness. The Chutney could have been done with some chillies. The Alleppe marries my first time to eat it. My friend is from South India so he knows it well. He ate it pretty much in the sky. He said it was very authentic and brought him back to his childhood!! I love it too!! It contains mango so on the sweeter side. We asked for Spicy, but the court could have done with more spiciness. It'll be very sharp next time. But really great taste and the shrimp was deliciously cooked! It came with a person value on rice. The Naan was also brilliant!! Goat cheese and onion are a complete hit!! Recommend 100 times. Great Indian food. Can't wait to be back!
Good modern Indian restaurant in a city (San Diego with too few options. I started with the Tacosas a fusion appetizer that is a combination of Samosa and Taco. I loved the sharp delicious and spicy Chicken Makhani Curry dish (aka butter chicken). The glittering garlic naan bread is one of the best you'll find everywhere and prove that Masala Street makes the traditional things the right way.
This jewel is led by chief owner Saransh or OB, as he is lovingly known. This guy is an artist in the kitchen (and life! . We had the pleasure of bringing OB and his family to the wedding at the Hyatt Aviara Park, and all our guests were blown away from creativity, quality and service. Our guests said literally, and I quote that this was the best Indian food we ever had at an Indian wedding. Wow. OB literally created a menu specifically for us, was flexible with budgets and treated us like family. Its incredible food and aura was one of the best parts of our wedding, and we would recommend it and the restaurant to anyone looking for top Indian fare. (Ps our great photos are taken by Studio Merima.
Samosa Tacos are fantastic! Fish n chips were also delicious. Try the Mango Lassi! Please open a place south of Orange County!
Indian fusion food with interesting menu. Liked the food. Quantity is good for two people.
