Couleurs Jardin - La Croix-Valmer

15 years ago i first came there.... Right on the beach..... fish fresh from the sea ..... a bottle of wine ...great !! It got known.... became expensive and the started behaving ‘ French ‘....... But not in the good way.... The cook left..... quality...went down.... and they tried to hide that by making the prices even higher.... Now I don’t go there anymore ...... there is a spar supermarket just opposite the restaurant..... Buy a bottle of wine there and a baguette and sit on the beach......

Clearly Gigaro restaurants are now feeling able to charge relatively high even very high prices for relatively modest food. Couleurs Jardin (above and, we understand under the same management as Marius à la Plage certainly offers some more distinctive and pleasurable dishes than its...associate restaurant. But the menu is not so imaginative (certainly not remotely in the same league as Le Refuge further down the road, and the prices, especially for the fish dishes were well, surprising! But you are not hurried and the servers were very pleasant and efficient. Especially if you get an outside table by the window, the views of the beach and the shoreline towards Cap Lardier are lovely. No special dishes to recommend, but nor did we encounter any major disappointment. So it is a possibility, but I rather suspect the prices may make us think twice about returning next year.

We have feasted duo de calamar grilled and holy fresh stone, pavlova everything was more than succulent magical frame, pleasant staff one more this special area smoker not negligible we will return ....

We arrived and took an aperitif in the very nice living room and then joined our table.Beautiful table at the waterfront. The kitchen is good, no more and rather expensive. The staff is friendly and attentive. However be careful because at the time of the addition, 1 glass of white wine was added. In conclusion, very beautiful place, splendid and romantic setting, very pleasant staff, correct food and salty addition.

Very beautiful place, in impeccable service, with a pleasant card and irreproachable products. a beautiful seaside table with decent rates, in the Var... a miracle.
